What Kind of Church are we?
1. WE ARE A CHRISTIAN CHURCH. We believe in the basic doctrines of the Christian Faith as expressed in the Apostles' Creed. At the heart of our doctrine is the Gospel - the Good News that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on the cross for our sins and arose from the dead.
2. WE ARE A BIBLE CHURCH. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and is our only guide for faith and life. You will hear and learn the Bible at Cornerstone Church - in sermons, in every class, and you will see it lived in the lives of our people.
3. WE ARE A REFORMED CHURCH. We belong to the Reformed Church in America, the oldest Protestant denomination in our country.
4. WE ARE A PEOPLE CHURCH. Next to the Lord, people are our greatest concern. We love and serve all kinds of people - babies, youth, teenagers, adults, and seniors. You will be important and you will be loved at Cornerstone Church.
5. WE ARE A POSITIVE CHURCH. We avoid legalism - that is, man-made commandments. We stress the positive Christian faith. We are convinced that we can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens us!
6. WE ARE A FAMILY CHURCH. All types of families are welcome - single parent families, two parent families with or without children, singles, etc. At Cornerstone Community Church you become a member of the Church family.
