1. Have you ever been in a natural disaster? What happened?
2. What is the most stressful recurring “storm of life” that you face?

1. What kind of storm did Jesus and the disciples encounter? Give details.
2. If you had been one of the disciples when the boat was about to sink, what
would you have done?
3. Why do you think the disciples awakened Jesus? Why did they take so long in
approaching Jesus?
4. How do you react to Jesus when He seems to be asleep in your life?
5. How did Jesus handle the crisis in the middle of the Sea of Galilee? Why is this
miracle so astonishing?
6. What was the tone in Jesus’ voice when He said, “Why are you afraid? Do you still
have no faith?”
7. Why did Jesus allow a storm to come up in the first place?
8. If you had been there, what would you have told your friends afterward?
a. “I just about got killed!”
b. “Jesus sure is a sound sleeper.”
